Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE but may include home working too.

Brief description:

We are seeking to recruit to an Operations Manager for a 6-month period to support the activity of the Appointeeship Team within Sandwell MBC.

The Appointeeship act as DWP Appointee and in many cases, Court Appointed Deputy for Property and Affairs for clients that lack capacity in relation to their finances and who do not have any suitable family / friends, who are willing and able to act on their behalf.

Applicants should have a sound knowledge of Court of Protection, Deputyship and Appointeeship and have experience of working in this area at a management level.

Specific Role Responsibilities include to provide day to day management, support and guidance to the Appointeeship Team, lead on the identification, procurement activity and implementation of a replacement pre-paid card solution for clients. Also review the existing procedures and practices and staffing structure, prepare necessary reports for Senior Managers and where appropriate committee.
