Tender Description

The University of Bristol requires collection and disposal of biodegradable waste Materials from Sites located mostly within Bristol City Clifton Campus area and some in more outlying locations such as Langford and Emersons Green. The University requires consistent, reliable and uniform segregated biodegradable waste collections at each of its locations regardless of geographical location.

The University requires that the Materials collected by the Supplier are transferred (if applicable) and processed at legislatively compliant, licensed sites capable of processing biodegradable waste sustainably such as Anaerobic Digestion or In Vessel Composting plants.

The contract will be for an initial period of three (3) years with a possible extension of up to two (2) years in one-year periods under the existing terms and conditions, subject to prevailing University requirements and satisfactory Supplier performance, unless varied in accordance with the contract.
