Tender Description

The Growth Company (GC) is seeking to appoint a provider or providers of Waste Collection and Disposal services.

The Growth Company (GC) currently has 30 sites across the North of England, with a concentration of sites in Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire. GC's current waste collection is made up of a mixture of contracts and ad hoc waste collections covering general waste, dry mixed recycling, paper, non-IT WEEE, hazardous waste (mainly cleaning, fluorescent tubes, batteries), furniture, construction waste, plasterboard, metal and office clearance.

GC are seeking to consolidate its Waste Collection and Disposal services into a central contract with either, one provider across all geographies, or two providers, one servicing Greater Manchester and one Yorkshire and the Humber.

GC's Main Objectives:
Consistent approach to waste identification, storage, collection and disposal to aid in education and awareness of waste and its correct storage and disposal across all GC sites,
Central location for waste data including waste transfer notes, hazardous waste consignment notes and certificates of destruction (as appropriate) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation,
Timely access to waste data including volumes, disposal methods and recycling rates,
Increase accuracy of carbon emissions associated with waste disposal and transportation,
Reduce the creation of waste and increase recycling rates, and
Reduce the risk of negative environmental impacts from incorrectly stored waste.
