Defra procuring on behalf of the Environment Agency:nEnvironment Agency on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Devolved Administrations is seeking to procure a service provider / service providers to manage and operate the UK Eutrophying and Acidifying Atmospheric Pollutants (UKEAP) Network.nn Defra had previously let a contract for delivery of these Services which will expire 31st December 2016. This existing contract was novated to the Environment Agency to manage in April 2016 and the Environment Agency will be the named Authority for this tendered Contract.nn The UKEAP network consists of 4 four rural air pollution monitoring networks and operation of two UK European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme (EMEP) Supersites. The 4 four networks are the;nn? Precipitation Network (Precip-Net) measuring rain composition across the UK;n? National Ammonia Monitoring Network (NAMN), measuring ammonia concentrations across the UK; n? Acid Gas and Aerosol Network (AGANet), measuring acid gas concentrations and inorganic aerosol (~PM4) composition; andn? NO2-Net network, measuring indicative NO2 concentrations.
