Project ScopenAvon and Somerset Police Constabulary, wish to convert the existing vehicle ngarage tonBlock O building into a DPR Store at their headquarters in Portishead.nThis tender package is for pricing by main contractors to carry out the mechanical nandnelectrical works fabric works and associated M&E builders work. In addition, a nseparatentender has been issued directly to racking installers to install new archive storage nrackingnand a mezzanine single story floor together with a new goods lift. The main ncontractornshall include within their price the management and co-ordination for the ninstallation ofnthese works within the overall contract programme.nThe anticipated lead in period for the racking and mezzanine flooring installation is n5nweeks and 5 weeks construction duration. The lead in period for the mechanical nplant isnestimated to be around 8 weeks. The installation of the lighting at high level is nlikely to benthe first operation on site due to access requirements with the mezzanine floor andnracking being installed closely behind.nThe racking and mezzanine floor layout drawing 150785 L(0)02 proposed ground nfloornshows the racking layout.nProposed WorksnThe proposed works include the following main elements:nMechanical & Electrical:n• Strip out of existing / redundant data, cabling, lighting and mechanical servicesnand associated equipment.n• Provision of new light fittings and cablingn• Provision of new emergency lighting.n• Alterations / upgrading the fire alarm installation.n• Upgrading the electrical power supply / distribution board works.n• Provision of small power / data / ancillaries.n• Provision of new heating plant & warm air heating systemn• Alterations to intruder installation / CCTV provision.n• Provision of new secure access control system. (Avon Armour prox reader)nFabric:n• Replacement of the roller shutter door with new glazed window wallingn• Remove the concrete dished drainage channel and infill.
