With increased occupancy expected at 21 Stephen Street in 2017, three lifts in total require significant improvement particularly in both appearance and operation. Therefore, the main objectives are to:nn• Improve the reliability of all lifts meaning less downtime/call-outs in the future;n• Improve the aesthetics and overall appearance of two passenger lifts (PL1 and PL2) and one goods lift (GL1);n• Upgrade GL1 to PL (Passenger Lift) status;n• DDA compliant;n• Replace existing internal and external lift call buttons;n• Implement recommendations made from recent insurance reports;n• Guarantee product life cycle for at least 20 years;n• Guarantee product parts/hardware can be sourced/maintained for at least 20 years after modernisation project;n• Improve the energy efficiency where possible of all three lifts.nnIn addition to the lift upgrade works, the contractor is invited to provide the BFI with a proposal relating to the maintenance contract for all lifts at 21 Stephen Street over a 36-month agreement.
